  • Chiefs’ Town Hall Meetings: Three town hall meetings have been completed; discussions included improvements to the range at PPCC, review of Department; goals; budget, programs, etc.
  • Building Maintenance: Board of Directors and staff to convene a building work day on Saturday, May 15th to do annual clean-up/maintenance.
  • Executive Director Report:
    • Membership Update: Sworn numbers decreased by 18 members and civilians by 4, reflecting Department retirements and resignations.
    • Municipal Gym: remainder of new flooring purchased and awaiting installation; vendor to check equipment for repair needs.
    • Proposed new by-law:

As of January 1, 2021, sworn and civilian persons who have been members of the CSPPA in good standing for a minimum of five consecutive years, and who have separated from CSPD in good standing after a minimum five consecutive years of employment, are eligible for a limited retiree membership.  Limited membership shall include free notary service and access to the CSPPA maintained Federal Firearms License (FFL).

  • Investment RFP: Board appointed subcommittee to meet with Investment Advisor candidates on April 6th.
  • CSPPA Scholarships: Given COVID restrictions, the Board will meet with scholarship recipients via Zoom, rather than hosting a luncheon,
